This type of vessel is called a Banana Boat, very handy for moving motor bikes.

These planes were not flyable and were left behind in the Japanese retreat.
Its not hard to find models in Gasmata. This is still a functional airstrip. Note the terminal building and wind soc.
Many planes were salvaged and melted down for the aluminium after the war. Teams of locals melt them into Ingots in 44 gallon drums - what a waste!!
Under the mango tree is a popular place to hang out during the hottest time of the day. In many villages mango trees act like village square.
